The goal is to help fight the Japa trend among youths in Nigeria,provide education and financial support, and nurture self-confident, independent, and productive individuals. By breaking the cycle of poverty and Japa syndrome among youths, supporting indigent students who cannot afford to go to school.
In February 2023 Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation entered into partnership with The European Business University of Luxembourg “EBU” and signed a MoU between European Business University of Luxembourg (“EBU”) and Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation employing commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the scholarship program and give SAM ONYEMAECHI HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION minimum of 150- 200 scholarships per term for the period of three years which is renewable every three years and Promoting SAM ONYEMAECHI HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION within EBU’s networks.
The main objective of the Project is to increase access to quality education for underprivileged individuals and support them with the skills set required to close the workforce gaps and increase the likelihood of success of entrepreneurs.
a) Promoting the scholarship program within their networks and identifying/ selecting the scholarship recipients.
b) Submitting the names of the scholarship recipients on time and ensuring that the recipients pay the commitment fee and fill their online application.
c) Adhering to the selection criteria
The selection criteria include but is not limited to:
I. Awarding the scholarships on a need basis
II. Developing a train, the trainer program in which the awarded students share the acquired knowledge with the community.
d) Promoting EBU within SAM ONYEMAECHI HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION networks.
